名称：Sensor Development by Surface Chemistry
主讲人： Andreas Terfort 教授
摘要：Sensors are an integral part of modern life, as they can help controlling environments and warning of impeding dangers. A large class of sensors involve chemical sensors, which can detect molecules from the atmosphere, in water or even in body fluids. In all cases, some kind of chemical recognition is involved, for which not only suitable molecules have to be developed, but also communication principles to turn the recognition event into an electronic signal. This talk will present different approaches for this so-called transduction to permit detection of compounds in the air and in chemical production processes.
Prof. Dr. Andreas Terfort holds a Chair for Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry at the Goethe-University of Frankfurt, Germany. His group is specialized in surface chemistry with a strong focus on sensor development. He is the author of more than 180 scientific papers, holds several patents and is a frequently invited speaker at international conferences.
